Do I need to get a referral in order to book an appointment with your office?

No, I do not require a medical referral in order to schedule an appointment — you can book directly on my website, or by calling my office at (905) 492-8688.

What will my first visit entail?

Initial visits typically consist of a thorough consultation and physical exam, during which we will review your health history and current areas of concern. If I determine that chiropractic care would be a suitable option for your goals, we can discuss a tailored treatment plan and may even be able to start care that same day.

Is your office part of a larger healthcare center?

Yes, I am proud to be a member of Active Integrative Medicine (AIM). This partnership allows my patients to enjoy complete, integrative therapy all in one convenient location.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Services such as chiropractic care, acupuncture, and orthotics are covered by most extended healthcare plans in Ontario. However, you should check with your provider to determine if coverage is offered under your specific plan.

Do you treat work-related injuries or car accident injuries?

Absolutely — I deliver specialized care for work-related injuries and motor-vehicle accident (MVA) recovery. Treatments include post-concussion management and other options that help you get back to your daily routine.

What kind of specific conditions can a chiropractor help treat?

I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, including back and neck pain, sciatica, joint discomfort, migraines, tennis elbow, and foot/ankle pain. I can also assist with improving posture and coordination.

Does chiropractic care benefit any parts of the body other than the back?

Yes — while I am an expert in spinal health, chiropractic care is also effective for other areas. I can assist with joint motion, sports injuries, and even the physical strain of sitting at a computer for long periods of time.

Will chiropractic care improve my athletic performance?

Yes, I specialize in helping athletes ease the strain of constant practice and competition. I can help you address injuries and improve your range of motion so that you can focus on the sport you love and perform at your best.

Is chiropractic care safe for patients of all ages?

Chiropractic care is non-invasive and drug-free, so it is considered a safe option for patients of varying ages, from young athletes to seniors who are dealing with age-related joint pain or mobility concerns.

What does a post-concussion treatment plan involve?

My post-concussion care is focused on managing the cognitive and physical impacts of a concussion, including memory and comprehension issues, through a tailored rehabilitative process. I take an evidence-based approach to post-concussion care and offer compassionate, skilled treatment to help you get back to normal.

Do you offer assistance for dealing with or treating migraines?

Yes. Migraines are often linked to tension or spinal issues. I deliver personalized chiropractic care that focuses on providing relief and identifying triggers to help you reduce the frequency and intensity of your migraines.

What other types of “common ailments” do you treat?

In addition to back pain, I can help patients who are struggling with complaints like sciatica, tennis elbow, and work-related injuries involving repetitive strain that have caused chronic discomfort.

Does adding acupuncture to my treatment plan add any benefits?

In many cases, yes. Acupuncture promotes the natural healing process by reducing pain and improving function in impaired areas. As an added bonus, many of my acupuncture patients report improved mood and energy levels following a treatment session.

Are the acupuncture needles painful?

Most of my patients find their acupuncture sessions to be a very relaxing experience. The needles are extremely thin, so while you may feel a slight sensation upon insertion, it is not typically described as painful.

Do you offer acupuncture for sciatica?

Yes, I provide specific treatments for those suffering from sciatica, helping to reduce the radiating pain that travels from the lower back and down the leg.

What benefits do custom orthotics offer over store-bought options?

Custom orthotics are designed to align, support, and improve the functionality of your unique feet. They are created based on a professional assessment to ensure they can help address your specific concerns with gait and posture.

What are common signs that I might benefit from orthotics?

If you suffer from foot, ankle, or even lower back pain, orthotics may be able to provide some relief. I will perform an assessment to see if improper foot alignment may be a contributing factor to your discomfort.
